Weekend Wrap Up

I'm basically chillin on this memorial day weekend! Actually I chilled most of the week until Friday when Nicki and I went to a home party at one of my girlfriends homes. And without my camera I might add. As a matter of fact if it wasn't for my new phone and instagram I would have nothing to share this weekend because I left my camera at home the entire weekend!

My friend hosted a Tastefully Simple party at her home and Nicki and I literally ate our way through the entire party! LOL I will take pics when we host our own party in a few months.

Ice cream courtesy of Quisha one night when I was craving it. I tweeted and two minutes later I had ice cream in bed!!!

I did a lot of eating and drinking this week! Honestly it was too hot to do anything else! LOL

This was me Friday waiting for Marc while he picked up Slurpee's at 7 Eleven. Sunday Burger Kings slushes were $1.50!!! I don't want to know how many calories I took in this weekend.

Hopefully the private Zumba class Saturday helped a little bit!

My aunt took a cruise to the Bahamas and I got a bracelet (she knows me soo well)! LOL

I'm in the mood to wear skirts and flats this summer. My husband is a very happy man! LOL

Its been a while since I did a Sunday Best post, but I have been rockin the accessories! Don't you love the Owl pendant?

I did take some time out to play in my garden!!! My container plants are doing very well, soo much so that I picked up another container this weekend to fill up with more flowers. I like container gardening because I'm less likely to come into contact with bugs (especially worms...yuck)!

Closed out Sunday with service (mostly a lot of baby holding, and passing around....lol). We had three people join church and one young lady give her life to Christ!

Quisha spent the weekend with friends and went to a Carnival. Apparently she didn't get on the Ferris Wheel!!!! LOL

So there you have it! My life in Instagram!!! (LOL) Today is a continuation of my chill mode. I told Marc we need some new friends...know one has invited us to a barbecue! So what are you doing on this Memorial Day Weekend?

Monday Wrap Up

After months of preparation we finally held our annual Women's Weekend event! I don't even have words for how well the weekend went, so I'll just share photos! LOL

We used Seaside Escape workshop kit by Group Publishing.

Each women received a water bottle with a hidden message that was used in several sessions.

Throughout the day the ladies received gifts to add to their Beach Bags that they got at the start of the event!

Each women created a Promise Bracelet as a service project that will be donated to House of Esther Ministries, a local home for unwed teenage mom's.

This weekend gave our ladies a chance to "Come and Bask In God's Presence" !

Sunday we closed out our Weekend with our morning service. Don't you just love Mama Cat's hat?

We surprised one of our team members when we honored her as Women of The Year at WABC! Her husband and family showed up to surprise her! She didn't have a clue!!!! LOL

Our speaker was all up in our weekend theme. Her sermon title was "Just Be Still". She talked about how we as women sometimes get soo busy that we miss the message from God. Maybe its time to JUST BE STILL!!!!!!! She even pause when she said be still. My girl even had a countdown clock on her kindle.....try it for 30 seconds and just.....be.....still (said with a whisper)!

My sweet husband has set on the sidelines the last two weekends as the women took over his pulpit. I know next Sunday he is going to be off the chain after two weeks of rest ! LOL

We ended the day at a friends church for their Women's Ministry Rainbow Tea. My girlfriends youngest daughter (Nicki's god sister) asked us a few weeks ago if we would come. I couldn't say no to Mia! LOL But at the end of the day I was soo tired the only thing I wanted to do was crawl into my bed (and I did).

By the way did you notice the instagram photos????? My daughter Nicki and my son TJ got me an iPhone for Mothers Day!!!!

I have to say....I am loving it (the iPhone and all of the new apps). Watch out world, there is no stopping me now! LOL So any iPhone uses out there with some advice or favorite apps they want to share with me?
