My Weekend Breakdown!

Saturday we celebrated another graduation of a youth we mentored when we were youth leaders!! 

I caved and joined another social media platform!! Mostly to watch my favorite YouTubers but also because I love all things social!! lol

Speaking of selfies...I suck at them so I thought this might help step up my game!! 

We wrapped up a week of VBS last Friday! Can I just say I was tired by the end of the week? I feel like I'm getting to old for Youth Ministry (insert sad face). I am proud of Nicki who took on the role of recreation leader this year though! 

Speaking of Nicki....these two celebrated being married one month (insert surprise face)! Like where did the month go???

It's almost time for our first vacation trip and in preparation I picked up a few clothing items for our upcoming trip to New Orleans. I will decide by the end of the week if I'm going to do a vacation outfit post. It's been a minute for sure! 

One thing I'm excited about is having this almost new kindle my daughter gave me. I've already downloaded a few books for the car ride!! Nothing like free books from Amazon! lol

Fathers Day Weekend

When you don't know what to get the man who had everything! Nic and B brought him a tie rack, and our son brought him a pocket watch. 

Our oldest was away that weekend celebrating my great, great nephews 1st birthday. 

Nic and B have been taking mini honeymoon vacations the last two weekends and this past weekend they traveled to MD to celebrate one of his groomsmen birthday. 

We spent Saturday celebrating one of my good friends 35th wedding anniversary.

Fathers Day we spent the afternoon at my BFF home celebrating her daughters graduation and spending time with extended family celebrating Fathers.

Speaking of cosmetics I loved my May Ipsy bag and yesterday my June Ipsy bag came in. 

I will be in New Orleans for a wedding next month and I'm hoping to use some of my ipsy products from the last few months. Since many are smaller in size I'm thinking they will be perfect to pack in my suitcase.

The Wedding Photos!

I am so excited to finally share some of the photos from Nicki's wedding. Clara did and excellent job (we got a sneak peek early on when we got back the photos from her bridal session. You can see them here). But nothing prepared me for the actual wedding day photos (shown here)!! And we haven't even seen them all yet!! If your in the area and need a photographer I would highly, highly recommend Clara Ann Photography!! 

Gardening Bug!!

I am so in love with the color of my hydrangea plant this year!! 

And my hostas are bigger and brighter as well this year!! As much as I hate the rain we have had the last few months, I think it's been very good for our garden!

Well maybe not so much for the green peppers and tomatoes!! We are late putting them in the ground because it was so cold when Marc first got them (even had them in the house a few weeks)! 

My daughter Q's plants have really grown!! 

She even plucked her first tomato!!

And added to her garden by buying a zucchini plant!! Who knew our family would become gardeners!! Pretty sure Nicki won't be following in our footsteps though!! lol

So did anyone else try there hand at gardening this year? 

Is it vacation time yet???

I know I get bored easily, but I feel like my schedule the last two months has been just crazy! And it's not going to get any lighter over the coming weeks. I guess I need to stop complaining because the minute it slows down I will be bored again lol.

Friday my mom, my sis and I traveled to NC for my nephews graduation. We didn't get back to VA until 4:40 AM on Saturday. That wouldn't have been that bad if I didn't have to be at a breakfast brunch for Quisha at 11 am Saturday morning lol.

Meanwhile this one was jetting all over the place with her new hubby! Actually she was in Dallas Texas (notice the platter of barbecue) for a special event! Just got word from her that they landed safe and sound back home!! Although I'm excited she got the opportunity to travel (even for just the weekend) I'm glad they are safely back home. The mommy in me just feels better when I know everyone is on the ground lol.

Marc and I even managed to squeeze in a little anniversary time (we celebrated 33 years of marriage on Saturday) starting with an early dinner at my favorite cafe and a stroll around Norfolks annual Harborfest. It's become sort of an anniversary tradition! I can't explain why I love the water so much (I can't swim a lick, and water actually terrifies me when I've tried to get in it ) I just do! Of course it helps that we happen to live close enough to the ocean that I can see it and the surrounding waterways whenever I feel like it!  

In the coming weeks we have even more events to attend and soon I will get to actually do some traveling!!

I probably love taking pics almost as much as I love planning or setting up events/trips. So needless to say I will have plenty of photos to share over the next few weeks!!
