 Three generations of woman getting to sit together for Mother's Day for the first time in a year! 

My Birthday (April)

 

Back in April I got to celebrate my birthday at my mom's house. I got to see family, and I was able to sit and eat with them for the first time in over a year. It felt strange but good. And I look forward to doing it again very soon without the social distance and mask wearing. 

We Got Snow!!!!

 January 28th was the best day ever that I have had in quite sometime. Maybe not for all of the snow haters, but it sure made my day!! If you don't know me by now....I love SNOW!!!! But I am use to being disappointed at not getting any. So even though our weathermen had been speaking about it for days I just was not buying into the hype LOL! Imagine my surprise when I woke up at 3:30 AM and saw that not only had it come down but it was sticking and there was a lot of it. We ended up getting about 4 inches and lets just say that this snow baby was a very happy woman LOL. I stayed outside long enough to take photos and walk in all its glory! 

I was like a kid in a candy store. I kept going back to the window to see if it was still coming down. LOL 

I really don't understand how you can dislike snow. Look at that beautiful stuff!! You know its the real stuff when it sticks to the trees LOL 

Whenever I start to doubt that God sees and hears me he does something like this and blows my mind. Look at the sky. Its so beautiful (this was unfiltered by the way). Only an awesome God like my Abba Father could create something like this. And that is why it was the best day ever. Because on this particular day I needed some type of sign that in this crazy world we live in....that God is still in control.

New Year!

 We spent a quiet Christmas . The girls visited us that day to open gifts from us but remained socially distant and wore a mask to protect on another. I enjoyed decorating for Christmas this year. So much so everything is still up a month later. I will eventually take it down. But in the mean time you can get a peek into my familyroom. 

I fixed breakfast for Nicki and later in the day when Quisha came I gave her dinner to take home. That evening we watched to twins open gifts and Zoomed with the family as they opened gifts. Lord willing this year we will be able to be together, all at one house together. 

Yep! Christmas was definitely different. 

Inauguration Day I made Chili ahead of time so that I..

Could spend the day on this couch watching the updates throughout the day (anyone besides me breath a sigh of relief when the ceremony was all over?). 

My daughter made us t-shirts and mask for the occasion LOL 

The President just before he entered the White House!! Woohoo! It was a great day and a great way to start the year (at least among my family and friends). 

A Different Kind of Thanksgiving

 Thanksgiving 2020 was so different from anything you could have told me. Not being able to spend it with extended family was bad enough. 

But I never thought I would passing food to my children on the front porch instead of having them in to visit. 

Or that the kids would be making their own meals. This was a boneless turkey breast that my daughter Q made. 

I made my usual as if I was still preparing for a house full. SMH 

My Son In Law and my daughter Nicki made Thanksgiving dinner at home for the first time as a married couple. I think my SIL enjoyed making his turkey. I know it looked better then the one I made at Christmas. LOL  We did Zoom with the family later that day but it was just not the same.
