Monday Morning Wrap Up Part 2

Mothers Day weekend was jampacked! Don't believe me? Just wait and see. LOL

Friday morning I headed to the hair dresser, can't be having the do messed up Mother's Day Weekend. That afternoon Nicki and I trekked back over to my girfriends home so that she could do the make-up for her godsister Senior prom (last weekend we went to help for her friends prom). I have known Bri since before her mom gave birth to her. I can't believe how fast time has passed.

Saturday we headed to the country to hang out with our family at a community picnic.

Somebody convinced me to try tossing a bean bag into a little hole. Oh, that was me! One more thing to check off my bucket list if I had one! HAHA

While we were chilling at the picnic, this one was hiking in the mountains! What did they do with my child? Someone should have felt her head that day. Her tweets were actually funny though. I think she surprised herself. Maybe it was preparation for her upcoming mission trip to Mexico.

My daughter Quisha and a few of her friends surprised a bunch of us mothers with a special dinner. Quisha did the signs and the decorations. Maybe she has learned a few things from her old mom.

Gifts and cards from church and family. My son and my youngest child chipped in together and apparently I will be getting an iPhone in a few days to replace my blackberry that died a month ago. Not sure if I'm ready to be that tech savvy! LOL  Well, that was my mothers day weekend in a nutshell, how was yours?

Monday Morning Wrap Up Part 1

I don't know if there will ever be a time in my life when my weekends are not filled with events! Part of me loves it, another part of me just wants to get off the rollercoaster and chill for a day, or a week (maybe even a month). Its part of the reason I have not posted any nearly two weeks!

Last Saturday we held our first Family and Friends Day picnic. Over time we hope to turn this into a community event.

My girlfriend Cynthia surprised me by showing up! I had not seen her daughters since they were little. I think Nicki felt older then me at that moment!

Marc invited everyone in his cellphone contact list! LOL

His sister and his nephew came. His brother also came but I didn't get a picture of him.

Our day didn't end with the picnic! Nicki dragged me with her to one of her make-up gigs. I didn't mind going to this one since it was for her godsister. Her side hustle business is picking up with prom season, summer weddings and special events. That Friday she even had a consultation with one of my dress sale buddies!

The fact that my girlfriend made cake from scratch was the icing on the cake! HAHA

Sunday we wrapped up the weekend with our Annual Family and Friends Day service. My mom's church came to help us celebrate the day! That's my mom singing with the mike in her hand.

Most of the people on those two rows are kin to me. One of my cousins surprised me by coming to our morning service that day. I just didn't get to take a pic of her. Her parents came that afternoon also. So my family represented themselves well that day!

My mom's pastor is hilarious. He likes to tease me about how fast pics go up on facebook from me after and event! So you know I had to tag him in every pic I took of him that day. LOL

Can't forget my girls....although Nicki seemed to be trying to act as if she was being stalked by the paparazzi or something! LOL

It really was a good weekend. Although my healthy diet was heavily tested! Just sayin!
