Crazy Life!

I know its been a minute! But since before the Fourth of July our life has been crazy!

Most of my time is being spent on the planning of my cousins wedding in August.

This was the first 4th of July that I didn't host a party! With our recent trip plus all of the preparation for the wedding I just didn't feel up to tackling one more thing! But that didn't keep me from finding a Fourth of July outfit or making a meal for Marc, Nicki and myself! We even had a surprise visitor for the day!

A week after the fourth I was back in the country knee deep in flowers! Thank goodness for my family who have been a great help to the brides mom and myself! This wedding is truly a family affair!

By the end of the week I was back in the beach helping Nicki with a wedding she was doing. She did about ten plus faces that day! I'm telling you my family should be in business!! lol

Last week we attended the ordination of Nicki's godfather.

Saturday morning we went to cheer Nicki on in her first 5k race!

Sundays outfit!

It was Men's Day at church on Sunday. We ended up sitting in three services that day! I haven't done that in forever! Can't say I miss it. lol Then right after the third service we dashed over to my oldest daughters "crib" for her house blessing! Yes, one of my three has finally flown the coop!

Today I'm knee deep in the planning of some big events at WABC. Including our women's workshop which will take place next weekend!

Thought I'd throw in some of the pics from our "garden"! Technically its just a small spot in our front yard where Marc planted a tomato and green pepper plant! It's also the spot where my hosta's were planted. The Hydrangea bush is from a birthday a few yrs back from my kids.

We've had some other stuff going on that I can't really talk about. But I come from a praying family and we've been leaning and depending on him to get us through!

So that's my little "check in" post! lol Hopefully it explains why I haven't posted much. Not to mention why my next post may take a minute as well!!!

How's your summer going?? Mine is about to get even crazier!

Outfits Day 4 and 5

Our last day in Florida!!! My dress was from Roses ($7.50 people).

The heat was so bad that day that I had to change clothing before dinner with Chandra! The top is from H&M (a first for me, but it was only $8.00. I have never found an outfit at H&M, heck Nicki rarely finds one there....lol).

I wore this dress for the return trip home. I've been crazy over dresses this summer. Especially maxi's. And this one was from Roses (for $7.50 as well). Pink sandals are from Target and my trusty Tommy Hilfiger purse is from TJ Maxx a few years back. Well, that's the end of my "OOTD" for this trip. My next post will most likely be about my toiletry bags or info on the jewelry roll contents . Hope somebody enjoyed! LOL

OOTD Day 3

Monday morning we hit every outlet/flea market Marc could find..which was partly why this trip was a non Disney trip. I'm married to one of those rare men who likes to shop!! So for years he's dreamed of just chilling in Florida for a week, shopping and eating. And believe it or not there are some great places to do all of that in Orlando!! Go figure!!!

Tuesday we hit the outlets, including my favorite Disney Outlet ( I plan to post my Disney haul on my Disney travel blog, but I may share a few of my other purchases here).

I wore this dress ( picked it up from Roses this spring for $7.50) the morning of our anniversary. Its not my favorite dress but its great for just strolling around the outlets. I didn't take any shots of my accessories though!!! I think I was soo excited about dinner at Ohana's that evening that I forgot!! I wore many of the pieces from my Bass Shoe haul last year (yes, Bass Shoes sells jewelry)! The silver sandals and the watch are both from Roses.

I changed that evening for dinner into one of my maxi dresses I purchased last year from Roses. Kept the same accessories but switched out my JCPenneys purse for my plaid Tommy Hilfiger bag!

My OOTD!!!

I thought I would post my Outfits of the Day in coordination with my trip reports (don't ask me how but somehow I posted Day 2 before my pre-trip outfit and I don't know how to fix it without deleting and starting all over...umm yeah, not doing that) that are on my "travel" blog. I usually post everything I take but this time I decided to share what I actually wore!!! Several outfits never even made it out of the bag. Not surprising since I tend to over pack but also because I did a little shopping along ( upcoming vacation haul to come) the way and Marc surprised me with a few pre-anniversary gifts!

Pants and top from HSN!

The love bracelet is from Burlington Coat factory and is part of my Easter Haul. The sparkly bracelet is from Roses ( I have one to my girls as well for Christmas) and the plain beaded one I've had so long I don't even remember where it came from!

The shoes are from Burlington as well. Nicki and I each picked up a pair way back last November. I figured they will probably as close as I will ever get to the look of a "Tory Burch" pair! lol The necklace below is a gift from Nicki from Forever21. She says jewelry and accessories are the only thing I'm allowed to purchase at this store unless she's with me to approve in advance! lol

This was my travel outfit to Richmond! It's also one of the surprises from Marc before we left for the trip. He surprised me with two outfits from the Home Shopping Network a few days before our trip! He said it was an early Anniversary gift that he thought I might want to wear on vacation. I mean how do you not love a man like that?

I wore my navy stretch leggings from Walmart ( these jeans are COMFORTABLE and I'm kicking myself for not picking up more of them when they came out again this spring) on our travels the next morning to Savannah. Paired them up with my top designed by Beyonce's mom ( this particular line is sold in Walmart), and my comfortable flats that I wore the day before. I kept my accessories low key...only wearing my rosé gold watch from Roses ($5.00) along with some wooden stretch bracelets I've had like forever!!!

OOTD Orlando : travel day and day 2

We stopped at a Catos on our way to Orlando. I found this top for $8.00 and the earrings for $4.00!

I paired it with my Diane Von Fuerstenburg white jeans I picked up from Kohls last summer on our trip to Lancaster, PA.

My Avon Mickey necklace!

Loved the earrings!!!

I've had this watch a few months now. Picked it up for $5.00 from Roses!

I love this set. It was a gift a few yrs back from one of our church members.

My Kenneth Cole sandals also from our PA trip last year.

I wore this outfit our second day in Orlando. The top is from the second outfit Marc surprised me with for our anniversary. The capri's are from the QVC outlet in Lancaster ( I got some really good deals on that trip...lol). The sandals are from Target last summer.

The weather was hot during the day but always cooled off at night so surprisingly my capri's and jeans didn't really make me too hot. Until the air gave out ( more on that in my trip report).

I took three purse with me on this trip but most of the time I used my bag from JCPenneys. Not going into the parks allowed me to be a little more creative with my wardrobe then I usually am.
