Blogmas Day 2

I snapped this picture while sitting in a truck in Colonial Williamsburg waiting for Marc to finish up a tech job in a local Marshall's (we went Christmas shopping afterwards hence the reason I was along for the hour long ride). I eventually went into the store and looked around but I didn't see anything that I or anyone in my family just had to have. Why pick a picture of a shrub in a parking lot as my picture of the day you might ask?

Well one it immediately captured my attention because of all of the red berries on it and second it took me back to a memory from my childhood. During my teen years I lived in the country (if you have followed my blog for any length of time you know my moms house is deep in the country...like literally over the river and through the woods). Anyway...long story short the holly bush reminded me of Christmas time with my mom when we would go out into the woods and collect fresh pine leaves and holly berries to dress up the house for Christmas. We never had a real tree (I actually still own the tree my mom used throughout my childhood) but the house still had that real Christmas smell. So my question for you today is what is your fondest memory of Christmas as a child?
