Easter Sunday Wardrobe

This is me trying to channel my inner Michelle Obama! I not only admire her but I love her style of dress! Especially when she wears sweaters and dresses together. Its one of those classic styles anyone can pull off.

Marc originally was going to wear a white suit, but it wasn't altered in time for Easter Sunday so I kept trying to figure out how to make my green and his blue work together. I think it worked out pretty good.

I don't know what it is about Tommy Hilfiger's accessories but I tend to be drawn to them over and over again! The pattern in this bag is a perfect match to my phone and Ipad!

Some arm candy courtesy of Burlington Coat Factory!

This was the first year I've ever not spent with at least one of my children for Easter Sunday service. TJ works the night shift so he usually attends the 8 am service at his church. Quisha was actually out of town visiting my niece and Nicki was at home with food poisoning. But my mommy came to share in service with us at WABC.

After service we went to Ruby Tuesday for dinner. I had the salad bar and

followed it up with sweet potato fries and Chicken with bacon and cheese.

Marc had basically the same thing but he had the steak unstead of the chicen. He actually took a picture of his food which I thought was after all of my years of training only to find out he took a pic because his portion seemed smal to him! LOL

Speaking of WABC....we actually had a really good service and the turn out was awesome. I can't tell you how pleased I was to see so many children in our childrens church! It was a dream come true!

Random Target Haul and a bit of Rambling!

I spent several hours with Marc while he shopped for a new Easter Sunday suit! I won't go in to details (if you follow me on twitter you can read my ramblings there) lets just say you hear some really interesting conversations from people while sitting in the shoe aisle for 2 hours! Why for two hours you say? Because my husband walled around like a kid in a candy shop for those two hours trying to decide which suits to purchase ( They had a buy one get two free sale and he was determined to find three! He kept saying why would I let them keep two free suits! lol ). Does any other women you know actually sit while her husband does all the shopping? Shouldn't he be sitting while I shop? There is something wrong with that picture!

Anyway...after that long process I insisted we take a bathroom break at theTarget across the street ( I mean it had been two hours and I'm a smart cookie ) . I mean what girl in her right mind goes to Target just to use the bathroom? Hello!

I use to not understand what all the fuss about Target was until I discovered that little thing called .... the red sticker clearance tag. Man, that was a mouth full. They really need to shorten that name. HAHA!

Well lets just say I now have this urge/need to stop in at least once a week. And how convenient is it that Target is right around the corner from church? Which for us means a quick stop after service on Wednesday night, or if we're really daring a stop after church on Sunday before we go to eat! Do y'all remember the days when stores were closed on Sundays? Whatever did we do?

But I'm rambling so here goes... After a quick stop at the bathroom ( I won't even get started on the doors that didn't have locks, or hooks for your purse, or toilet paper! I'm sure we've all experienced that ) I headed for the Dollar Section. Anyone feel an obligation to stop there every time you shop? I'm not stupid. I know they invented that area just for people like me! Anyways, I said all that to say (especially since I'm pretty sure I'm not going to start sharing hauls on YouTube) I thought I would share my mini haul here. Again, it's not like I went to Target strictly to use their bathroom facilities. That would just be rude!

Well, here's hoping at least one of you likes my haul share.

First can I say how obsessed I am with getting a placemat for every Holiday under the sun. And Target is always happy to oblige. And you can't get a seasonal mat without getting the seasonal buckets (I use them for tea bags and sugar packets in the kitchen). Well maybe you can, but I can't. The file folder was also in the dollar section. I picked it up to hold all of my receipts (including the ones from Target). Just because I like to shop doesn't mean I shouldn't be responsible.

Now the container in the back has a story. Nicki and I saw a YouTuber use this to store nail polish ( I have two sets of the smaller version which holds all my make-up). We looked and looked and could not find one anywhere (we have been looking since last fall) ! Well guess what I found in the clearance section on one of the end caps (Tip: Never overlook the endcaps)! I almost left it there and then a still small voice (I'm pretty sure it wasn't Jesus) said Girl you betta get that thing! So into the cart it went! I've learned that when you see something you know you really, really want and you don't pick it up you will be thinking about that one thing forever. And since there was only one I didn't want to take any chances. Did I sound desperate just then? If so don't tell me. LOL

Now there is no excuse for this purchase accept that I wanted them, and have been craving them since Marc first got them last month. I won't even share how many I have eaten. Just take my word for it. These things are addictive! And I'm not even a big candy eater!

No I did not buy this much jewelry in one sitting. I brought the bracelet, earrings and ring on our trip last summer to PA. I saw the necklace last night and had to buy it ( it was calling my name). Don't go into a teasy it was only $5.00 anyway!

My last purchase of the evening were these warm and fuzzy slippers. I have been stalking these puppies since last Christmas. But I didn't like the price tag on them. Then they marked them down, and I still didn't like the price tag. Last night they were marked down to a whopping $3.00! Bingo! Jackpot!!! Now your talking. They have picked up residence (not permanent residence mind you) in my home and are on my feet as I type this very blog. Anyway that is my long drawn out story of how I ended up spending two hours watching my husband shop for clothing and how I took advantage of that with a much needed trip to the restroom at Target just so I could shop and share a haul with you lovelies. Well that's if any of you still read my blog. And even if you don't , I still had fun writing it!

Easter Sunday

I'm excited about our Easter Sunday Service! It's nothing over the top or in any way a big "creative" production but it still has the potential to be a blessing to someone! It's a time for families to get together and celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Our youth ministry will be sponsoring our annual Easter Eggstravaganza and just like last year we will offer a free group photo for everyone who would like one! Who knows there may even be a surprise gift for the member who invites the most guest! Either way it's going to be a great time of fellowship, fun and an opportunity to hear a relevant word!

Cyndi's February Favorites

I'm going to try and start posting my monthly favorites once a month. At first I thought I would try doing a YouTube video once a month but I'll be honest I'm not sure I'm ready for that yet! Have you seen the comments people make on YouTube videos? I just don't understand all the hate! If you don't like a persons video why even watch? Anyway, I'm getting off track! lol

My monthly favorites may include fashion, seasonal decor, books, music, my fav. iPhone app, cosmetics...you get the idea. Hope someone enjoys them! lol By the way I'm still posting from my phone so excuse any errors.

I wore very little make-up during the month of February. But when I did I kept it very light. My go tos were my elf eyeshadow, elf bronzer, elf primer ( I mean it's only a $1.00). My Cover girl mascara and my Mary Kay mineral powder.

Speaking of Mary Kay. I've been trying to stay on my daily cleaning regiment but I have to admit as convient as the new formula is I'm a basic girl at heart. So a few months ago I asked my consultant for the original mask so that I could deep cleanse once a month. I also had an old bottle of fresher that Ive been holding on to and I use it on the days I wear make-up. Which actually isn't that often! Usually just Sundays and special occasions.

I have been loving the Bath and Body Works line.Over the years I have received some of their products as a gift but this year I have been obsessed. I grabbed the Cashmere Glow line over Christmas in a Black Friday special. I had my daughter Nicki go back in February and pick up the mist. You know I like a product when I buy the mist. My skin gets very dry in the winter and actually even in the summer so I have been using the Eucerin lotion for a while. I've tried other products but I keep coming back so now its the only kind I buy for my dry and cracked skin.

My Bath and Bodyworks candles for the month of February were Cranberry Pear Bellini and Winter. I've almost used them all up!

In late January my daughter took me to Teavanna for the first time to pick out a late Christmas gift (I also got to go to Lush for the first time). I am in love with my new Tea Maker and I love the loose tea that the have. The mug was my Valentine mug that I got from the Dollar Tree!

Fashion has been the last thing on my mind in the last few months. LOL And my wardrobe mostly consisted of my favorite Disney shirts, my stretch jeggings, and my new favorites...my Nine West Jeans from Sam's Club of all places. I picked two pair up over the holidays for $9.00 a piece. And you all know how I love a bargain. Surprisingly they fit great and I've found them to be very comfortable.

With my arm and back being in so much pain I had to downsize what I carried in my purse and in the end I even had to downsize my purse! My small plaid Bass bag from our trip to Lancaster PA last summer has really come in handy. And on special occasions or for church I pulled out a small fur bag that my Aunt gave me a few years ago that I had never used.

Even coats seemed to feel heavy on me, so I have worn this lined hoody out. I picked it up from Sam's Club ( man, I buy a lot of clothes from Sam's...lol). That and a scarf I swiped from Marc and my Target gloves with the special fingers for your phone have been my best friend this winter. I even wore this thing to Cleveland when we went in December before the pain got really bad.

I love books but holding a book up to read has been a challenge. So I've been looking at a lot of magazines. I haven't done this since my teen years when I would stock up on the Teen Mags when I got my allowance!

Again, another change has been not being able to wear my big chunky jewelry ( have you ever tried to wear a heavy statement piece when your back and neck feel like they are on fire) so I'm kind of glad that I started getting into smaller necklaces this fall. Now I'm obsessed with finding them! LOL

The one thing I have really missed has been decorating. I did manage to put up a few things for Valentines Day...but nothing like I usually do! They are now back in their boxes ready for next year! Well that concludes my first monthly favorites. Hope you enjoyed it. My arm is starting to hurt so I'm pretty sure that's my cue to give it a break!

I am still recovering from a pinched nerve. Who knew this thing would last for four plus months! Its extremely hard for me to stay on my laptop for very long, so I joined Tumblr so I can post small post from my phone. I'm doing much better now but I still have a hard time with my arms and hands so it will be a minute before I can really get back to my first love which is blogging! In the mean time you can follow me on Tumblr and if thats not enough you can follow me on Instagram. Just search for CYNDIAKADISNEYQ . I hope to be back at it real soon!!!!

Christmas decor 2012

Happy New Year! Can you believe it's 2013? I injured my arm over the holidays so its been hard to sit at my computer and type. I'm trying blogging from my phone, but even that is pretty hard on my muscles so here are some (actually a lot ...lol) pics of my holiday decor. I hope to do a reflection of 2012 soon and share goals for 2013. In the meantime I hope you enjoy the pics!
