Wedding Rehearsal

Friday did not start as planned (a pre curser to the weekend it would seem). But after packing up my girlfriends van and our car we finally got on the road. My motto for the weekend would become "I am not in control"! I knew how much work lay ahead so I was anxious to get there to get to work. Of course I learned this weekend that my plans were not everyone's else plan so my very organized schedule went completely out the window! It didn't help that the day seemed to get longer and longer (and that at least in my eyes , and that of the bride nothing seemed to be going right) !! But we finally made it out to the wedding venue Friday afternoon after a few minor hick ups.

The staff at the Gloucester Institute went above and beyond the call of duty and their kindness and they way they made us feel as if the compound was actually our home for the weekend will forever be remembered!

The bride to be arriving!

Some of the groomsmen with the groom.

The Grooms brother Bert.

The groom relaxing while waiting for the rehearsal to start!

The venue and the tent set up for the big day! Little did we know how much of a blessing it would be to have this very large tent at our disposal!

Several wedding party members were delayed so we actually ended up eating beforehand. I can honestly say we have never done a rehearsal in the dark until this past weekend!! lol

Someone else who went above and beyond the call of duty was my BFF Teresa! I don't know what I would have done without this woman this weekend! With all the work she had to do over the weekend she offered to prepare the rehearsal dinner.

After rehearsal most everyone else scattered to the nearest store for some last minute items or went to their home/rooms for the night. lol

For my mom, Teresa and I the night had just begun!

We ended up staying up until around 3 am prepping for the next day! In the end all of the work, sweat and tears paid off though!

Crazy Day!!

I'm not going to even talk about how crazy yesterday was!!

Nicky and I were both stressed out by the time we headed to our pampering session courtesy of her godmother and god sisters!

Needless to say it was right on time!

I hadn't had a manicure in probably 8 years and definitely have never had gel nails done! I actually liked it!!

Later that evening we all headed to dinner to celebrate with Nicki during her bachelorette party (well her godmother and I left before the girls headed to the hotel for the bridal party slumber party).

The Bride To Be!!

The place was dark so the pics are not that great!

All of the bridal party except one ( her last bridesmaid comes into today from New York).

My BFF Sonia (Nicki's godmother) and I with the bride! After dinner the bridal party had a sleep over at an area hotel!!

The girls slumber must have been a success because I didn't hear anything about it!! lol

Their view in the morning (I love my hometown)!!

Breakfast at Citrus!

Bridal Brunch with some of the girls!!

I'm just in awe of all that our family and friends have done! They have blessed us in ways we can never repay back!

Women's Day 2016

It's been a long time since I posted anything related to ministry. Not that here haven't been opportunities to do so. I've just not had the time to document it all. But I had to share photos from our awesome service yesterday!

Min. Blackett blessed the woman of WABC today with her message ! She asked us "who's influencing you"? Is God your influence?? Are you allowing him to pour his spirit into your life? It should be a daily experience! Not just on Sunday but every day of the week!! What influence are you under??

She did it!!

Well we now have two family members from my household with their masters degree!!

One thing I can say about this girl is that when she makes up her mind she is going to do something she does it!

Congrats Quisha for a job well done!

So much going on

I had to think how long it had been since I blogged!! I knew the next few weeks would be crazy but they are going by way too fast!! I feel like I'm going to miss something on my must do list before the wedding next week!

First of all...the wedding is next week!!!! Like how crazy is that ? Probably no crazier then our adventure last Friday

I did get to relax for a little bit this past weekend only because it was Mother's Day!

The night before, my son handed me this! Now usually I'm not big on chocolate (which he knows), but with the stress of the last few weeks chocolate was right on time!! lol

He also handed me these (lightly salted)!!

Sunday after church my daughters treated my mom, my sister and I to Mother's Day dinner.

And I finally got to sit on Quisha's porch!!

Speaking of Quisha....This weekend we will celebrate her receiving her Master's degree at Liberty University!!

And next weekend these two finally tie the knot!

So as you can see my plate is full!! I'm very excited and proud of my girls and I look forward to seeing where God will be taking them next! After next Saturday look for lots of pics if you follow me on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook!!
