It became official today. The announcement was made at both churches that Marc had become a Pastor. Its been amazing how excited our friends and family have been for us. Now the big question is how many would be willing to come and help with the ministry (lol). In an effort to be my authentic self I am very conscious of how often traditional church has been about serving their pastor and (you know that name for the wife that will remain unnamed). I made a point today of letting them know that we are here to serve as much (if not more) as they think they are here to serve us. But I also have enough sense to know that there will be times when I will have to submit to the will of the people (and right now the members of WABC are very excited about having a new leader). I don't want to make the mistake of taking away from the role of someone who has the gift of service just to make my own point. Sometime we have to be humble enough to accept help. The one thing I love about the people of WABC is their love for my husband. I hope that in the coming months and years that the love and the enthusiasm they have for him as their pastor can be translated into a love and enthusiasm for the people of our community.
